Dear friends, partners, regulators and media representatives!
Welcome to our website!
The year of 2021, just like the previous one, was both a challenging and an eventful period. The oil market still featured high volatility due to the pandemic-related factors. However, we managed to achieve high results even in the conditions of the coronavirus crisis.
Petersburg Oil Terminal never suspended its operation, not for a day. Shipment of oil products continued without any interruptions, incidents or emergencies. Moreover, POT demonstrated an impressive result having handled 9 million tonnes of oil products which is just slightly below the record-high result of 2020.
Such achievements were possible with the well-coordinated interaction of the management, terminal personnel and our partners.
One of the markers of smooth coordination at all levels is handling of almost one million tonnes of cargo in August 2021. The result achieved at the facilities of the new tank farm alone should be attributed to a carefully developed logistics and optimization of all production processes throughout the entire technological chain of oil products transshipment.
For its milestone event of 2021 – beginning of POT’s ‘old’ part reconstruction – POT had been preparing for over a number of recent years. Obsolete storage facilities built in the Soviet period will be replaced with a modern complex of double-wall tanks. That will offer new jobs of high qualification, increase of tax revenues and improvement of the port’s environmental safety with double-wall tank technology virtually eliminating the risk of oil spills.
PNT pays special attention to environment safety.
Its water treatment facility has a multi-step water treatment system, which includes:
All the facilities are equipped with the modern oil-spill prevention devices and leak detectors.
Local oil spills can be quickly collected with the mobile oil removal units and sufficient sorbent supply.
