MILESTONES
Since 1892 the company name has changed several times, but its core business remained the same:

1995
Joint Venture CJSC «Petersburg Oil Terminal» was established
2000
A multi-step water treatment facility was put into operation
2004
Sea berths PNT-3 and PNT-4 were put into operation along with two railcar loading racks, 36 positions each
2006
JSC «Russian Railways» & CJSC «PNT» started using an automated ETRAN system
2008
PNT was selected the best stevedoring company among the ASOP members
2012
Construction of the 3rd 40,000 ton tank was completed

1998
PNT launched an expansion program which continues up to the present
2003
PNT took the 2nd place as a company that provides the highest level of environment protection
2005
PNT transferred the record amount of oil products – 10,8 million tons. The PNT Quality Management System was certified according to ISO 9001:2000 Standard
2007
PNT first received super ships of 100,000 DWT
2009
PNT reached the new level of technical excellence, having transshipped12 million tons of oil products in a single year

Environment Protection
Every year the Terminal spends 1 million USD on environment protection
and maintenance of the environment protection facilities.

PNT pays special attention to environment safety.
Its water treatment facility has a multi-step water treatment system, which includes:

  • preliminary treatment with suspended particle removal and sedimentation;
  • pressure flotation;
  • membrane treatment with ultrafiltration equipment;
  • deep purification with automated treated water quality control.

All the facilities are equipped with the modern oil-spill prevention devices and leak detectors.

Local oil spills can be quickly collected with the mobile oil removal units and sufficient sorbent supply.
