Dear friends, partners, regulators and media representatives!
Welcome to our website!
In 2020, all the global industries faced a new challenge – the coronavirus pandemic. Apart from the pandemic related crisis, oil industry was under other pressures. Most of the year we were in a state of uncertainty with the market volatility and global decrease of the demand for oil products being the key pressing factors. Nevertheless, over that challenging year POT demonstrated considerable results: not only did we manage to maintain the scope of handling, we even slightly increased our shipments. Our twenty-fifth anniversary was marked by good throughput results – it rose by 16.6% to 9.2 million tonnes.
Such achievements were possible with the well-coordinated interaction of the management, terminal personnel and our partners. We are especially grateful to the Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Energy, EMERCOM, Russian Railways, Big Port St. Petersburg, Ministry of Internal Affairs and Federal Security Service as well as Russia’s leading financial organizations we partner with. The terminal never stopped operation for a single day ensuring uninterrupted activities without any emergencies or incidents. We also appreciate our clients’ trust and support! Hopefully, our mutually beneficial cooperation will last for many years.
We have been consistently maintaining industry safety at the terminal. Over the year we held large-scale exercises on firefighting and oil spill response. The drills were successful with all the services having demonstrated a smooth team work. Technical development of POT has never ceased either: we proceeded with the reconstruction of the terminal’s “old” part where the obsolete equipment of the soviet period will be replaced with a modern environmentally friendly facility for handling of oil products.
We continue pursuing a policy of good-neighborly relations. To fight COVID-19 in 2020, we supplied individual protective means and sanitizers to medical institutions of the Kirovsky District and participated in supply of medical equipment to the Botkin Clinical Hospital for the Infectious Diseases.
Special attention at the terminal is persistently paid to the environmental issues. In 2020, ecological safety of the company was acknowledged by the experts on the international level. POT obtained a certificate of compliance with ISO 14001:2015 “Environmental Management System. Besides, POT joined hands with the Russian Museum to plant oaks from the Peter the Great Wood within the terminal territory, launched separate collection of waste and performed stocking of the Gulf of Finland with 4,000 pikeperch.
In 2021, we wish strength and luck to our colleagues and partners! It is going to be a turbulent year but we are morally prepared for that and I am sure we will be able to overcome any problems together!
