Kerosene at Petersburg Oil Terminal


On February 22, 2017 tanker vessel “Sten Idun” with deadweight of 16 600 tons carrying a cargo of TS-1 aviation kerosene manufactured by Kirishi refinery was dispatched from PNT-3 wharves. The volume of loading on board the tanker equaled to 15 000 tons.

Since day one of “Petersburg Oil Terminal” CJSC it was the first time the transshipment of fuel of that nomenclature took place.

Preliminary activities that allowed to expand the terminal’s capabilities in the field of reception and treatment of various kinds of oil products were concluded in December, 2016, they included fitting out of extra locations for kerosene unloading capable of hosting 36 tank cisterns (2 x 18 pieces), installation of a new loading arm and pumping machinery, pipeline laying and cleaning of tank with the volume of 20 thousand m3.

At present the terminal is capable of transshipping of 40 thousand tons of that kind of cargo for export.

The major consignees of cargo are various companies from North-Western Europe.
